Overview
The Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology in the Life Span allows acquisition of advanced knowledge on contents and methods of clinical psychology, developmental psychology, physiological psychology and neuropsychology.
These learning objectives will be achieved through a common advanced learning programme covering 5 scientific fields of psychology and through a further learning programme allowing in depth knowledge in clinical and dynamic psychology, developmental psychology, developmental neuropsychology and neuropsychology of adulthood and aging.
The programme includes compulsory courses in Multivariate data analysis, Neuropsychology of adulthood and aging, Origins and development of the human mind, Clinical psychodiagnosis and Clinical psychology; then the student will choose one of two curricula: Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology.
The course aims at developing specific professional skills in order:
to operate in autonomy in the psychological, clinical and neuropsychological field over different stages of the life span (infancy and preschool age, adolescence, adulthood and old age),
to comprehend, to read and to apply outcomes of the scientific research for planning and developing clinical and research activities, – to apply tools for the assessment and diagnosis in the psychological, clinical and neuropsychological field over different stages of the life span (infancy and preschool age, adolescence, adulthood and old age),
to communicate, according to the professional ethic principles, with psychologically distressed individuals as well as with their families;
to communicate the results of the scientific research within the academic community by means of specialized languages as well as to a wider public promoting scientific dissemination;
to plan and carry on individual interventions, focused on the prevention, assessment and psychological diagnosis to support and promote wellbeing as well as cognitive and neuropsychological rehabilitation.
Essentials to the programme are the laboratories, the seminar on “Deontology and responsibility in health psychology”, the possibility to attend and internal or external stages and to spend a study period abroad.
