Overview

The Master’s Degree in Sciences and Technologies for Environment and Landscape belongs to the LM-75 Class of Master’s Degrees in Sciences and Technologies for Environment and Landscape, has a duration of two years and involves the acquisition of 120 university study credits (CFUs) leading to the award of the degree.

Access is subject to checks that candidates are in possession of curricular requirements and an interview to assess personal preparation.
The official course language is Italian, but some aspects may be taught in English if foreign students request this.

At the end of the course, the qualification of Master’s Degree in Sciences and Technologies for Environment and Landscape is issued. This qualification enables access to second-level postgraduate programs, Specialist Training Courses and PhDs.
Holders of a Master’s Degree in Sciences and Technologies for Environment and Landscape can register on the professional register of Agricultural Technician Graduates, provided they pass a state exam.
Possession of a Master’s Degree in Sciences and Technologies for Environment and Landscape enables graduates to access the state exam and/or traineeship for professions including biologist, qualified agronomist, qualified forester, geologist and landscape architect.
The degree course intends to provide solid cross-discipline cultural and methodological preparation in physics/mathematics, chemistry, biology/ecology, agriculture, law/economics and earth sciences, with a particular focus on analytical and management skills as regards complex environmental problems.

Graduates will be able to understand environmental problems and apply the knowledge they acquire to resolve them. More specifically, they will be able to apply local investigatory methods and techniques, work independently in labs and in the field, plan monitoring, control and management activities for the environment and local areas, undertake environmental impact assessments and strategic environmental evaluations, initiate integrated waste management systems and apply de-pollution techniques.
