Panoramica
The Bachelor’s Degree in Intercultural Communication focuses on the understanding of communication processes from different disciplinary perspectives, including linguistics, literary studies, anthropology, education, philosophy, psychology and sociology.
The curriculum is designed to encourage learning that integrates a mastery of theory with a critical analysis of communication practices and contexts. It requires the study of a foreign language, chosen between Arabic, Chinese and Japanese, in order to enable students to deal with the pivotal challenges of globalization and contemporary multicultural societies.
The degree program in Intercultural Communication normally extends over a three years period. To successfully complete the program students are required to achieve a total of 180 credits (CFU/ECTS). The program includes 19 exams (6 in the first year; 7 in the second year; 6 in the third year), one language skill certification, one computer skill certification, and a final essay. Intercultural Communication is a limited-enrollment course. To be admitted, all candidates are required to pass a written test.
The official language of the program is Italian. Some courses and exams can be offered in English, as reported in the Course Guidelines.
The Bachelor’s Degree in Intercultural Communication gives access to second level degrees, first level Master’s degrees and Continuous education courses.
